Might sound like a silly question but going to ask anyway. I have never suffered with hayfever but since I have been on mtx and sulfasalazine I seem to have really bad hayfever symptoms? Itchy eyes, itchy blocked nose etc. Is this because my immune system is being surpressed or am I going mad? Thank you! Kim.

Hi, No you're not mad, well you may found a cause for current symptoms.
Ever since I started Enbrel I positively HATE the honeysuckle and scented
rose in our garden..For many years when the rape comes into flower I have had trouble.
Take care Anne

Kim

I suffer from the same symptoms and also streaming eyes and I have never had hayfever. I think the Methotrexate can cause a blocked nose but I do think I am more affected by pollen than before I started the Methotrexate.

I hate the winter and the cold, but cannot sit out in the sun as the Methotrexate has made me extremely senstive to the sun. I have to wear factor 50 and still burn.

More side effect to add to the many we already have to contend with.

Take care

Jackie
